Hi,
From the section of the manual on stencils, it's easy to get the impression
that stencils always make sure they never overrun the boundaries:
i.e. section 4.3: Automatic determination of stencil extent
and: 4.6: Applying a stencil:
"Blitz++ interrogates the stencil object to find out how large its footprint
is. It only applies the stencil over the region of the arrays where it won't
overrun the boundaries. "
However, it was not very clear to me that this is only true for stencils used
as "applyStencil(stencilname(),A,B,C...,F);", and not for the stencil
operators like central12 and friends.
Cheers,
Peter
