I spent today tidying up and fixing various outstanding bugs.
The snapshot blitz-19980729b.tar.gz fixes all but one of the
outstanding problems.

I've also done some performance tuning for DEC cxx. Unfortunately
aliasing prevents DEC cxx from unrolling/pipelining loops, so
I've turned on these optimizations in blitz for that compiler.
Blitz doesn't do them quite as well as a compiler could, but
it still gets reasonably close to fortran.
