I recently transitioned from Blitz++ to uBLAS, an ET-based matrix library
which owes much to Blitz:
http://www.genesys-e.org/ublas/
The goal is slightly different from that of Blitz (it's more focused on
vectors and matrices rather than arrays), but if these are your interests
you might check it out. I find uBLAS to be more user-friendly than MTL but
still quite powerful for my matrix sizes (see the Benchmark results in the
Overview).
The main attraction of uBLAS for me is that it is easier to compile than
Blitz. Also, it has been accepted into the Boost library, which increases
the chances that it will be actively maintained. Finally, some members of
the C++ Standards Committee are also involved with Boost, which means that
uBLAS has a chance of becoming the C++ matrix/vector standard.
Sincerely,
Matt Dimmic
