I think if you reconfigure with the argument
./configure .... --disable-shared
and "make clean" followed by "make" it will work
Another possibility is to set the following environment variable
(for example with tcsh)
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH `pwd`/lib/.libs
Note that your current directory has to be the one where you run make from
to build blitz.
