Tyson,

There is a ChangeLog file in the CVS repository that details all the
source code
updates since Oct. 2002. I believe most of the changes are bug fixes
and some
reorganization of how the library and documentation are configured and
installed.
Many of the bug fixes are significant, and a new tarball distribution is
long overdue.
