Blitz Support : |

Hi All,
I wanted to announce that I made version 0.7 of blitz available on
sourceforge
last month, for those who hadn't noticed. This was basically just a
compilation
of many bug fixes and minor modifications suggested by blitz users. I
thought
I would get this out now so there is a stable working version available.
I am
starting to work on some major renovations now. Among the items being
addressed:
* begin collecting submitted numerical algorithms and make them available as
blitz functors that can act on blitz Arrays
* separate blitz TinyVector and TinyMatrix expression template support from
that used for the Vector and Matrix classes, and eventually make the tvmet
package a replacement for the blitz Tiny classes
* upgrade blitz Vector and Matrix classes to the "new" expression
template style
used by the blitz Array class and abandon the "old" expression template
machinery
* move towards use of ANSI standard C++ headers and proper namespace usage
There is a lot to do here, but I plan to do things in steps and make
blitz releases
along the way over the next few months. You can monitor the blitz
releases from
the sourceforge website http://sourceforge.net/projects/blitz. Just go
to the Latest
File Releases section and click on the little envelope to receive e-mail
notification of
future releases.
Regards, Julian C.
