After extracting Blitz++-0.7.tar.gz into a directory named "Libraries"
the usual directory structure was obtained:
-Libraries
-Blitz++-0.7
-benchmarks
-bin
-blitz
-compiler
-doc
-examples
-lib
-manual
-random
-scr
-testsuite
Following Readme-VS.NET, Blitz-VS.NET.zip was extracted into the
directory named "blitz". After renaming config-VS.NET2003.h to config.h
and adjusting the include directories and re-adding the file globals.cpp
(from directory named "scr") into project blitz of solution file
Blitz-Library.sln the library was successfully compiled. The release and
debug lib files, named "blitz.lib" and "blitzD.lib" where copied into the
directory named "lib". Then the first project of the Blitz-Testsuite
(after adjusting the include and lib directories and re-adding the cpp
file) was built and it gives the correct results.
I have a lingering doubt that blitz is not correctly installed because I
do not understand how the config.h file is used in this installation.
Can anyone please explain how compiling globals.cpp indirectly involves
the config.h? Have I correctly installed this library?
Kind regards,
Andrew
