I can only answer for FreeBSD but Blitz++ compiles and works fine on it.
  Blitz is in the port system (/usr/ports/math/blitz++,
http://freshports.org/math/blitz++).

As I use Blitz++ on FreeBSD, I plan to keep the port updated (as I did
for version 0.7).
