Hi Andreas,

As was noted in the message that you found in the blitz mail archives,
we don't include a configure script in the cvs repository since the user
can generate one themselves using autoreconf. Try starting fresh and do
"autoreconf -fiv" to force regeneration of the configure script and
supporting files. The versions of autoconf and automake that you have
should be sufficiently current. Let me know if autoreconf doesn't do
the trick for you.
