I am not sure I understand your e-mail, you say you want to move to linux,
in which case Visual Studio is no use to you anyway. In linux both gcc and
the Intel compiler work fine with blitz.
On the other hand if you want to play with blitz in Visual Studio before
moving to linux, then you will need at least Visual Studio .NET 2003, that
one works.

Subject: [Blitz-support] BLITZ and VISUAL C++
Yo Blitz Support Crew:
I currently do numerical computing on Windows XP, using the
latest update of Visual C++ 6.0 and two old RogueWave class/
template libraries.
My future is a modest LINUX cluster, so I need to move to LINUX
and replace the RogueWave libraries. Your website says Visual
C++ is a "NO GO!" (July 2003).
Is this still true? If so, could you please recommend the fastest
(and easy to use) available vector/matrix/array template library
with random number generators, etc?
Many thanks,
David Shortle
