Dear all,
the MBDyn Developing Team is pleased to announce the release
of a Multibody/Multidisciplinary Dynamics software, available
as source code under Gnu's General Public License
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html
The MBDyn project started some time ago as a research effort
at the "Dipartimento di Ingegneria Aerospaziale" of the University
"Politecnico di Milano".
The project led to the development of a research tool suitable
for the investigation of numerical modelling and integration
of multidisciplinary problems by means of a multibody approach.
The software is mainly implemented in C++ with some F77/C parts,
plus a number of libraries to exploit some extra features,
significantly the built-in parallelization by means of MPI/Metis.
The package can be retrieved from its home site at
http://www.aero.polimi.it/projects/mbdyn/
along with instructions to download (mostly optional) related
packages, the online input manual, some tutorials and related
publications (the documentation is quickly growing stimulated
by suggestions from initial users).
The software is actively developed.
