Open Position for C++ Scientific Developer in Brazil

ESSS (Engineering Simulation and Scientific Software) invites applications
for a Scientific Developer position (junior or senior).
We are interested in applicants with skills in the following areas:
- Scientific software development;
- Scientific visualization (2D and 3D);
- C++ programming language;
- Object oriented programming;
- Generic programming;
- Numerical calculus, numerical methods;
- Linear algebra and analytic geometry.
Knowledge in the following areas are a "plus", i.e., desired but not
strictly necessary:
- Library/Framework development;
- Boost;
- C++ Scientific, Mathematical and Geometric libraries;
- Python and Boost.Python;
- Numeric simulation kernels;
- Computational Fluid Dynamics;
- Parallel processing.
The applicant will integrate the development team responsible for the core
scientific/numeric libraries, used by the many ESSS scientific projects.
One of the ESSS main characteristic is the coupling of the know-how in
engineering simulation and computer science with the knowledge produced
in the most important industries, universities and research centers. As
a result of this interaction (research centers-industries-ESSS) our team
has developed the KRAKEN and CHIMERA , bringing to the market
specialized tools for fields such as Geology, Reservoir Engineering and
Microstructural Characterization. Our services also include the
customization of commercial applications, legacy code update, new
applications development and engineering technologies integration.
