Computer Science Colleges in Alabama

Alabama does not typically produce many computer science graduates. A large part of why might be due to there being very few employers in the state that are looking for software engineers.

That said, there are options for students that want an accredited degree in computer science. The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and Alabama State University are responsible for most of the computer science majors in the state. There are several other institutions offering computing courses as well.

The University of South Alabama’s School of Computing offers Bachelor of Science degrees and the University of North Alabama has a B.S. in computer science program.
