Arkansas doesn’t have a reputation as being home to a bunch of technology companies but there are still many successful businesses that need software engineers, web developers, testers and designers.
Acxiom Corp provides information and data services to a wide range of companies and actively employs a large number of software professionals. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is the largest retailer in the world and is headquartered in Bentonville, AR. Tyson Foods Inc. is the biggest name in the chicken, beef and pork business and is based in Springdale.
