Many people have been reporting problems with egcs 1.0.3.
My understanding of the egcs versions is that the 1.0.x branch
is basically static, and only critical bugs are being fixed.
Most new features and bug fixes since 1.0 are reflected only
in the development snapshots. When the snapshots reach
a sufficiently stable point, egcs 1.1 will be released.
As far as I know, all of the 1.0.x releases will be useless
for Blitz++ purposes.
