I made a bunch of changes over the weekend that result in much
faster compile times and lower memory usage. You can see some
before/after comparisons (plus comparison to valarray compile
times) by peeking at:

In this plot, "Old Blitz++" is what you are all using :-)
"New Blitz++" is the new expression templates implementation.
