My main uses of OO languages is for operator overloading. I do most
of my work in automatic differentiation and interval arithmetic. Both
of these _require_ either an operator overloaded language, built in
types, or proprocessors in order to look like the code they are
supposed to represent.
I don't know how many people use OO languages for this stuff but it is
pretty much the only reason I use them right now.
