OON: A good C++ compiler

I am searching for a good C++ compiler with template support.
I am working with GNU gcc 2.7.2 but it is not very efficient with
template (template class inline function are not inlined). Is there an
unofficial improved GNU gcc compiler?.
KAI C++ compiler seems to be efficient but it is not free and doesn't
run under linux.

A solution?
