* The International Conference on Computational Physics (PC'97)
  has a session on Object-Oriented Methods. It's being held
  August 25-28, 1997 in Santa Cruz, California. For details,

* The May/June 1997 issue of "Computers In Physics" has an article
  by Geoffrey Furnish (formerly of Lawrence Livermore labs, now
  at Los Alamos) about "Glommable expression templates". It's a C++
  technique that greatly simplifies the implementation of expression
  templates, and will make it possible for people to easily incorporate
  expression template capability into their current C++ classes.
