A Brief Description of SciTools'98

September 16-18, 1998 an international Workshop on Modern Software Tools
for Scientific Computing (SciTools'98) will be arranged in Oslo, Norway.
This meeting is the second in a series of workshops focused at
computational software. The first meeting, SciTools'96, gathered around
70 participants world-wide. Selected contributions from this first
conference was published by Birkhauser (see
http://www.birkhauser.com/cgi-win/isbn/0-8176-3974-8). Similar
publication will be pursued also for the upcoming workshop.
The SciTools'98 workshop is organized by SINTEF Applied Mathematics,
University of Oslo and Numerical Objects AS. The following invited
